It's crazy how time flies! I feel like I was just helping my sister move into her freshman year of college and now she's graduated and backpacking Europe with her friend. Just before I went back to reality of work, I took a small trip with my family to Utah to visit some friends. Don't underestimate the beauty of the mountains there, even in the summer when there's no snow!
While we were there, we visited Dead Horse State Park, Arches National Park, and of course downtown Salt Lake City. Before this trip, I honestly can't remember the last time I could see the stars clearly. Stargazing in the Arches seriously took my breath away. They almost appeared as crystals in the sky...I was tempted to just reach out and take one.
Although I have to say, being away from the city made me miss it even more! Taking a break from the madness was definitely necessary, but I'm glad to be back :)
